Kinesiology is a system of natural health care that
combines manual muscle testing with the principles of Traditional Chinese
medicine and energy balancing. It is based on the principle that muscles are related to certain meridian energy lines that run through the body. Each meridian line has its own path, relates to a certain muscle group, and contains the life force energy, often called Chi. For a body to be healthy, energy must flow correctly around the body – any blockages in the flow will cause health problems. Kinesiology testing is done by putting a muscle in a
certain position and then applying light pressure at a certain point. If the muscle and related meridians etc are working
correctly, then this muscle will remain strong (locked) and resist the
pressure. If however there is
a problem with the muscle or any parts related to it, then it will be weak
(unlocked). This is an indication that the body is not functioning as well
as it could be. The Kinesiologist will then use various methods working on
lymph glands, spinal reflexes, Neurovascular
points, meridian energy lines etc, to try and
balance the body. When that
part of the body is balanced again, then the muscle will remain strong
(locked). For a person to be in perfect health, a body needs to
be balanced and have three things working in harmony - the Anatomical
(structural/physical makeup), the Psychological (mental/emotional makeup)
and the Physiological (Nutritional/chemical makeup). These three items
form a health triangle and if any part of the triangle is out
of balance then it affects the others. Even if you have no health problems a
Kinesiology
balance will give you more energy. It can also improve posture as it helps
the muscles to support the structure correctly. Stress release – Stress occurs in all our
lives, and could be caused by something as simple as the amount of traffic
on the road on the way to work. When we are stressed our brain does not
function as it should. Kinesiology
can help with this by releasing the stress and enabling us to deal better
with it on the next occasion. Stress is something that we cannot
completely avoid, but we can learn to cope with it in a different way. Treatment can also be given as a vibrational healing treatment if the client is not able to be present (see FAQs) Lymphatic
system is part of our overall circulatory system. It acts as a drainage
system, cleansing the body of toxins and also supplies hormones, proteins,
fats and lymphocytes to all cells. Lymph produces a quarter of the white
blood cells that fight infections Spinal
reflexes are on the spine with relevant points relating to each muscle.
Most of our nerves radiate from the spine.
Rubbing the reflex will help to clear a blockage in the system. Neurovascular
points – There are several reflex points, mainly on the head, which
relate to the cardiovascular system.
Holding the relevant point increases blood flow to specific organs,
muscle and glands. Meridians
– meridians run up and down the body and carry the life energy. |
